It's been a while since we've talked about skincare, (actually my favorite departement when it comes to beauty).
So, today it's all about my skincare routine.
The Cleaners
After a long day nothing feels better then a clean complexion.
I start by taking of my makeup with a cotton pad soaked in L'eau Démaquillante by Uriage. I use one cotton to remove my eye makeup, and a second one to clean the rest of my face.
After that I wash my face and use this amazing Purifying Foaming Cleanser by Kiehl's  and massage that into my skin. Which I then remove with a hot muslin cloth. (You will be surprised how much makeup still comes of my face). To exfoliate I use a tiny little bit of the Kiehl's Skin Brightening Exfoliator. This face scrub is gentle enough to use on a daily basis (but two times a week will work as well), without irritating your skin.
The Hydraters
After my skin feels all clean it needs some hydration. I love this creamy eye treatment with avocado (by Kiehl's). It might look like a thick cream at first, but when using a tiny bit it's actual perfect. In the morning I hydrated the rest of my face with the Ultra Facial Moisturizer wit SPF 30 (the first product that I bought from Kiehl's, ever). Besides the fact that this face cream contains a SPF, it also sinks in right away, and it's a nice base for my makeup.
Before going to bed, I love using this Day cream by Rêve de Miel for dry and sensitive skin. Whether it's winter or summer, this (by the way very nice scented) pot does the job perfectly. The next morning my skin has an healthy looking glow.
Other products I like to use are the Bioderma Sébium Pore Refiner. Just a thin layer on top of my face cream, and before applying makeup. Or when I feel like my skin could use something extra: the Vitamin C+ Brighten serum By Úna Brennan. The inside of this small tube smells like summer, and has the perfect travel size. The other tube, not so travel size friendly, is a French classic, and a must have after a day in the sun: Biafineact. This cream is very light, and calms the skin after (too much) sun exposure.
One of my favorites is Effaclar Duo by La Roche-Posay. Everytime I feel like I'm getting a pimple, I just apply a little bit before I'm off to bed. And the next day it's looks like nothing happened in the first place. To my, this is a holy grail.
The Spoilers
Then there are the products that you didn't think you needed, but can't live without after using then.
The first product that I can really recommend is the Serozinc spray by La Roche-Posay.
Great for when your skin needs to calm down. It's a kind of spray toner, that kills bacteria. You can use this spray before or after applying makeup. I know many beauty bloggers have been going crazy about this product. And to be honest, the first time I tried it I didn't understood where all the fuzz was about. But after using it's for about a week, I started to understand the hype. (So when visiting France, get this product in bulk, it's so worth it).
Another product where (mainly) British bloggers were raving about is the Origins Drink-up Intensive Overnight mask. I bought this green tube at the airport during my recent trip to Barcelona. And one night after a couple glasses of Verdejo I decided to try this mask. (As my skin would be thirsty the next day). And when waking up, I didn't have an headache (thanks to Advil liquid), but I also didn't have the dehydrated skin I normally experience after nights like these. My skin felt soft, looked healthy (not dull at all). I mean, how great is this! To my opinion, a product everyone should try at least once.
