People who know my style are aware of the fact that I don't wear a lot of colour. I do like to look at all the amazing street style pics of fashionista's wearing the brightest kind of printed coats, carry around yellow bags, red cashmere sweaters or a mix of all of them. And I do like a pop of colour every now and them (pink suede pumps, an orange bag), but usually I tend to go for the more classic black, navy and naturel pieces. And that's what happened when I fell in love with this new item. The fabric feels really soft and is a little thick, but knowing that actually makes it perfect for Spring in Amsterdam. Which means cold(er) mornings when you're on your way to work, and sunny afternoons (with sometimes a little bit of rain).
Why I love this new piece of clothing so much? Because it's so easy to combine with a lot of different outfits. I will wear this handmade flared jacket with skinny jeans, white tees and flats, or over an all black outfit (again skinny jeans plus an black top and strappy sandals). And just imagine how great this colour (beige marl, yes I also never heard of this shade of beige before) will look with my favorite navy jeans and a navy cashmere sweater (adding a pop of colour while wearing high heels)? And what about throwing this cosy coat over my shoulders, when wearing a little black dress and (of course) another pair of high heels. It will add some casual chicness I really love.
See, the variety of combinations is endless. And besides that, this coat can also be worn as a thick cardigan next Autumn. And did I mention the lovely pockets? I mean c'mon they just make this jacket even more perfect.
