Finding the perfect liquid lip goodie isn't as easy as it may seems. Many brands nowadays come with a liquid lipstick, but their texture and formula is really different. One of the first liquid lipsticks I tried was the Colour Caresse Shine Stain by L'oréal. But I wasn't really pleased with the quality. I loved the shade (Juliet), but it made my lips feel very dry and unpleasant (and hard to remove at the end of the day). But when L'oreal came with a new liquid lipstick I just had to give it another try (because they just looked so nice).
I'm talking about the L'oréal Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick by Color Riche. They have the same sponge applicator as the Caresse Shine Stains, which makes it easy to apply. I also like the sleek looking packaging, and the clear window so you can see what colour is inside. They come in a wide variety of shades, and when you get them when they're on offer (like I did), it's a drugstore price for high end quality. These liquide lipsticks are a mix of a lipstick and a liquid gloss. I personally think it has more from a very well pigmented lipgloss, than a lipstick. The shade I choose is called Ruby Opera. It's a medium dark cherry kind of red, and looks really bright and shiny after applied onto the lips. The texture is creamy with a shiny finish. And the pigmentation is amazing. I'm a fan. Some of you may find the finish too glossy to wear during the day. But when worn with a comfy jeans and simple tees, plus a basic eye look, I think it's perfect for day time.
