Today Spring should be officially here. But one quick look outside my window tells me it's raining, grey and cold outside. Nothing like what Spring should look like. So I just decided that I will act like it sunny inside. How? By reading this month's Elle issue and wearing my new favorite lipstick. I mean this cover screams Spring, don't you agree? I usually never fall for pink clothing items, but right now I would love to wear this light pink shirt by Levi's (worn by the lovely Dutch model Ymre Stiekema). It will look great on my favorite boyfriend jeans and a pair of high heels.
And now let's talk about this new lipstick of mine. (And yes I know what you think 'another lipstick?', but these little things just make me happy and I like to try out different brands). I've tried a lipstick by LancĂ´me (from a different line) before, but this one is just perfect. I'm talking about L'Absolu Rouge advanced hydrating lip colour in this fuchsia kind of pink called Rose (number 368).
First it's very easy to apply, I don't need a lip pencil, which makes touch ups during the evening so much better. And because it's hydrating with a creamy finish I won't get dry lips. Even after wearing the shade for a couple of hours it's gives my lips a nice coat of moisture. I'm also a big fan of the chic and sleek looking packaging. I'm mean how cool is this magnet that's inside that gives this great 'click' sound we all like, (just like the great Tom Ford lipsticks)!
And last, but of course the most important thing, the colour of this brand new makeup essential. This lipstick might be called Rose, but the shade is more a dark kind of pink with a mix of fuchsia. It looks a little bit red on the picture above, but it won't look like that onto the lips.
For someone who is not particular a fan of the colour pink, this blogpost shows the opposite. I guess that's what Spring does to me. So I can't promise you I won't be looking for a pink shirt this weekend.
Enjoy your day!
