One of the things that I love to do when browsing the web is looking for street style looks that give me inspiration. Images that make me want to try out new outfit combinations. I can seriously spent hours and hours trying to find the perfect look with the right boyfriend jeans, or a classic camel coat. And besides having a great figure, I mean almost anything looks good when you're thin like a model, it also looks like you need an huge bank account to look chic and sophisticated. Just like the girls that give us the best street style looks ever. But like most of us I can't afford shopping at Céline, Isabel Marant and Jimmy Choo all the time. So, let me tell you my tips & tricks on how to look classy all the way.

1. Clean is the key.
Nothing looks like a million bucks when you have a hole in your white tees or a coffee stain on your favorite jeans. Make sure everything looks clean and smells fresh. So take care off your clothing. Which means: after winter season is over take your most worn winter coat to the dry cleaner's. And at the end of the day don't forget to fold your chunky cashmere sweater (never hang them on a hanger, as they will loose fit and will look cheap). When washing your jeans (although jeanslovers recommend never to wash your jeans, which sounds really gross to me), never use fabric softener. And when your shoes need new heels, please do this right away: nothing looks and sounds more cheap than a girl who's heels needs to be replaced. Also: clean your closet out every season with soap and water. And use cedar blocks moths to protect your clothes.

2. Invest in the right items.
As any fashion girl I love trends. But I don't have the money to buy and spent a fortune on orange big bags (last season), pink chunky sweaters (last and this season), and leather skirts (so this season). So when shopping for trends hit the high street, as you probably will only wear them for a short amount of time. But when looking for a camel coat, the perfect little black dress or a classy black bag, please invest. Because it's so worth it. You will wear these classic items over and over again. They are perfect for every season, and you can style each piece with trendy items from the high street to give them an updated look

3. Fabric is everything.
Check the fabric of the clothing you're buying. Try to stay away from anything acrylic and when buying tees go for 100% cotton (nothing more, nothing less). And try to stay away from anything stretchy, because most of the time it will only make you look bigger. And no one wants that, right?

4. Your tailor is your friend.
The right fit can make or break an outfit. As any girl I love to shop at Zara. But to be honest, their fit is not always the most flattering one for your body. Especially dresses can be too long (when you're not 1,80m), and the zippers can be a disaster. So have your tailor on speed dial to shorten that new dress (or shorts), so it fits your body perfectly.

5. Wash and style your hair
Don't leave your house with greasy hair. It may sound weird, but for me this is probably the most important rule. Why? Because you can wear the most beautiful dress, the best crispy white shirt, the highest Louboutins, but everything won't match, and will look cheap, with greasy hair.

So, keep these easy tips in mind, go shopping and I'm sure you will look like you've spent a fortune.
