Since a couple of years I have an extreme interest in skincare. This means wanted to try something new every week, reading (way too many) beauty blogs, talking to beauty sales people about their personal favorites and always wanting to check the bathroom cabinets of my friends and family. And although it's not really new anymore, but I'm afraid of oils (or products with an oily texture). Why? Because I (still) think I'll get break outs when using them. These days I like my standard evening cleansing routine, but sometimes I'm just so tired I wish I had found something a little less time consuming. So when I heard about the Camomile Silky Cleansing oil, by The Body shop, that should be great and affordable, I just had to give it a try. Because an easy and quick way of removing my makeup is sometimes exactly what I need.
I just need one or two pomps, which gives me enough product to cleanse my whole face. The texture is more watery than oily. After I rubbed and massaged my entire face, I rinse it off with a hot muslin cloth. And in just one or two swipes all my makeup comes off, and yes even my eye makeup. I took my mascara off before hand, but if you're so tired you just want to use this (by the way great scented) cleansing oil, that is not a problem. It takes of my eye makeup and foundation pretty easy, and leaves my skin feeling soft and calm. Just what I like before going to bed. Does is make my skin look shiny? Absolutely not. Do I get any spots after using this oil for a week? No, no break outs here. So, after tried & tested I can honestly say that when you're afraid of using an oily cleanser (like I was) you just have to try the Camomile Silky Cleansing oil by The Body Shop, because I think you will love it. Did I mentioned it's also very affordable?
